A witness told KPRC she heard the argument break out and hid behind a tree for protection.

"One witness said that she saw two Hispanic males get into a confrontation, she heard a gunshot and at that time she hid behind a tree to protect herself,” said Sgt. Richard Rodriguez, a detective with Houston Police Homicide division.

Homicide investigators are at the scene. Police said they do not believe there is danger to the public and that this is an isolated incident.

A detective told KPRC 2 there is surveillance video of the area, but the it has not yet been reviewed. Authorities hope it may paint a better picture of what may have happened.
