HOUSTON – Melted crayon projects are a little messy, but the melted crayon pumpkin project is incredibly fun. KPRC 2 tried it out Tuesday.
Here's what you need to successfully complete the pumpkin:
Recommended Videos
- Paintbrush
- Paint (white is like a blank canvas)
- Crayons
- Pumpkin
- Hair dryer
- Glue gun
Paint the pumpkin with at least two coats of paint and wait for the pumpkin to dry completely. When you are ready, use the hot glue gun to attach the crayons to the top of the pumpkin, near the stem. Use the hair dryer to heat the crayons. When the crayons begin to melt, angle the hair dryer down so the crayons will melt downward and evenly. Tip: Lighter crayons work best.
