HOUSTON – The Holocaust Museum Houston broke ground Wednesday on a major project.
The $49 million facility expansion and endowment will add 35,000 square feet to the facility, more than doubling its current size. Â
Construction begins next month with scheduled completion in 2019. The new campus will be named in honor of Lester and Sue Smith who donated $15 million to the museum.
During construction, the museum will operate at a temporary location in the 9200 block of Kirby.
