Holocaust Museum Houston breaks ground for expansion
HOUSTON – The Holocaust Museum Houston broke ground Wednesday on a major project.
The $49 million facility expansion and endowment will add 35,000 square feet to the facility, more than doubling its current size.
Construction begins next month with scheduled completion in 2019. The new campus will be named in honor of Lester and Sue Smith who donated $15 million to the museum.
During construction, the museum will operate at a temporary location in the 9200 block of Kirby.
