HOUSTON – The Army Corps of Engineers said the Addicks and Barker reservoirs are now empty for the first time since the rains associated with Hurricane Harvey.
The Addicks Reservoir floodwaters emptied on Thursday, while the Barker Reservoir emptied on Friday.
Normally dry, both reservoirs have been holding water since the landfall of Harvey. Â
The Corps said, with the emptying of the reservoirs, the full storage capacity of both will now be available for future rainfall.
