Sam Houston Race Park offering free horse stabling as Harvey approaches

HOUSTON – Sam Houston Race Park is offering free stabling for horses during Hurricane Harvey.

The race park said the stabling would be free, but owners need to bring a stable gate, food, bedding and buckets. The park will provide water.

Anyone looking to drop off a horse should go to the park at 7575 North Sam Houston Parkway and come around to Gate 3 off Fallbrook Drive. Once at the gate, people are asked to call security at 281-807-8790 and someone will come help.

Sam Houston Race Park has provided this service in the past for similar situations. The facility has stabled 50-100 horses at a time.
