Man shot in Missouri City home invasion, gunman on the loose

MISSOURI CITY, Texas – A man was injured Thursday in a shootout during a home invasion in Missouri City.

Police were called around 1:30 a.m. to a home in the 1500 block of Timber Creek for a report of a break-in.
Officers found the resident had been shot at least once.

The man was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital. He is expected to survive. 

Police said the gunman ran down an alley and got away. K-9 units helped to search for the suspects, who have not been caught.

Police said it is unclear if the home was targeted.

The break-in remains under investigation.
