HOUSTON – Houston police held a press conference Thursday providing more information in the search for a group of men wanted in the fatal shooting of a man in a north Houston parking lot in March.
Family members of 29-year-old Gabriel Castaneda are asking for the public's help in identifying the four men who are wanted in connection with Castaneda's slaying.
Castaneda was found dead March 14 after reports of a shooting in the parking lot of Fantasy Plaza Cabaret in north Houston.
Houston police officers were called around 2:30 a.m. to the 8500 block of North Freeway.
Witnesses told investigators that there was an altercation in the back parking lot of the club.
The shooter got into a blue GMC pickup truck and fired at least one shot, hitting the victim in the chest, and drove away, investigators said.
Castaneda drove his car to the 600 block of Dewalt Street, stopped in the middle of the road and died in the vehicle, police said.
Police said a friend was in the vehicle at the time of Castaneda's death.
