Montgomery County residents outraged over proposed bill to build in W.G. Jones State Forest

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A proposed bill that would turn a state forest into commercial property has residents in Montgomery County outraged.

The bill would affect the W.G. Jones State Forest off of FM 1488 and Highway 242 in Conroe.

The bill was proposed by state Rep. Brandon Creighton.

Residents said the bill would not benefit them.  They said they are also concerned of a potential conflict of interest, considering the representative owns a development and residential company.
