Man's body found covered in blood outside NW Harris County strip center

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man’s body was found early Thursday morning covered in blood outside a northwest Harris County strip center.

Harris County deputies began investigating the scene at 5:50 a.m. at 4683 west FM 1960 near Veterans Memorial Drive, where a man was found to be dead. 

Family of Mario Eduardo Bahamondes, 35, said he left their home at 5 a.m. and began walking to the intersection of FM 1960 and Veterans Memorial Drive to catch a Metro Bus to work. 

Authorities said they believe Bahamondes was shot and killed while thieves were trying to rob him. 

The murder of Mr. Bahamondes is being investigated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit. If anyone has any information regarding the murder of Mr. Bahamondes, they are asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 713.274.9100, or call Crime Stoppers at 713.222.TIPS(8477).
