Katy ISD close to naming its new stadium One name already recommended
KATY – A public forum will be held Thursday night to discuss the naming of Katy Independents School District's new football stadium.
According to Katy ISD's Facebook page, the board of trustees held a work study meeting Tuesday, during which a naming advisory committee presented Legacy Stadium as the recommended name for the stadium.
The name would reflect the school district's recently-adopted mission statement of "Be the Legacy."
The community is invited to give input on the recommended name Thursday night. The public forum will be held at 6 p.m. at Katy ISD at 6301 S. Stadium Lane.
