HOUSTON – The ice machine: Every restaurant has one, and you had better believe you have got to keep that thing clean.
That wasn’t the case, however, at The Waffle House, located at 10134 Almeda Genoa.
There, Houston Health inspectors found a gooey combination of black and pink slime.
In fact, inspectors wrote thatthe ice was “not safe for human consumption” in their report.
The restaurant management was ordered to clean the machine thoroughly.
Up next, it’s General Joe’s Chopstix 3, located at 3939 Montrose, where health officials discovered live roach activity.

They found roaches roaming in the dish washing area and scheduled a second inspection with the management.
We have even more roaches to talk about at Sabor Central American Cuisine, located at 5712 Bellaire Boulevard.
This week, inspectors wrote the place up for what they deemed an "infestation" after discovering a number of roaches and fresh rodent droppings.

The restaurant was actually ordered to close temporarily until professional pest control could be brought in.
This restaurant is once again open for business.
Enough with the roaches, though; let's switch gears and talk about ants.

We head to Church’s Fried Chicken at 9481 Kempwood, where the health department found ants crawling all over the soda fountain machine, including inside the nozzles where the soda comes out.
Finally, inspectors had a chat with the folks in charge at Chatt-N-Paan on Hillcroft after finding several live and dead roaches inside the kitchen area.
