HOUSTON – A woman blackmailed a 16-year-old in an attempt to get a nude video from her, appeared in court Thursday, officials said.
The 16-year-old girl from Maryland had an online friendship with Kimberly Tamayo, 20, who worked as a special education aide at Jackson Intermediate School, Webster police said.

However, the friendship turned sour Jan. 4, when Tamayo threatened to send out nude photos of the 16-year-old if she didn’t send Tamayo a nude video, according to officials.
That same day, Tamayo followed through with her threat and sent a nude photo of the girl to one of her relatives, police said.
Authorities said the girl's family notified the police Jan. 10, and Tamayo was arrested on the 1000 block of Avenue K South.
Tamayo was charged with two counts of promotion of child pornography.
In her court appearance Thursday, the judge ordered that Tamayo could not have contact with the girl or her family. She also is not allowed to have contact with children under the age of 17 except her brother.
Tamayo is not allowed to get on the internet, but she is allowed to go to church with her mother, court officials said.
