House fire in Pasadena leaves 17-year-old girl dead

PASADENA, Texas – A house in Pasadena caught fire early Saturday morning near Eagle Avenue and Randall Street.

The call came in around 12:30 a.m. with a mother, daughter and grandmother inside the home. 

The mother jumped out of a second-story window to safety and was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation but expected to survive, fire marshals said.

Her 17-year-old daughter, Alma Adame, did not survive.  

Officials said the grandmother made it out safely.

Family members said Adame was finishing up her senior year at Pasadena High School.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
