Trio robs Walgreens: 2 suspects wanted, police say

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating the armed robbery of a Walgreens in southwest Houston.

Officers responded to an alarm at the location on South Main and Kirby around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to investigators, three men with masks stormed the store before it closed and held employees at gunpoint.

The men took the cash bag and took off as officers arrived on scene, police said.

They led officers on a short chase until the driver lost control and stopped.

All three got out and ran, according to police.

Officers found one suspect hiding inside a man's apartment. The other two got away, investigators said.

Officers recovered the stolen bag of money.
