Police investigate deadly hit-and-run in north Houston

HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a man was killed in a hit-and-run crash Saturday.

Officers were called at 9:40 p.m. to the 1600 block of Margaret Street. Witnesses told police that the victim, who has not yet been identified, was lying in the middle of the street when he was hit by a vehicle.

Investigators said the driver was in an unknown model Ford, traveling west on Margaret when the driver hit the man and left the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
