Body found in Brays Bayou near UH

Vehicle seen in water upstream not connected, authorities say

HOUSTON – Detectives are investigating the death of a person whose body was found in Brays Bayou near the Unviersity of Houston campus Friday morning, police said.

About 7:45 a.m., investigators were called to the bayou just south of the campus along North MacGregor Way.

A vehicle seen in the water more than a mile upstream, but police said they are not sure if the body is related to it.

Police said the victim appears to be a man, and there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body. They could not immediately say how long the body had been in the bayou.
