HOUSTON – A man and a woman are accused of leaving a child alone in a hot car while they got high on synthetic marijuana.
Christopher Alexander and Ashlea Jones are charged with endangering a child.
According to court documents, they intentionally left the boy in a car without air conditioning on Monday.
They also failed to take the boy to an emergency care provider, police said.
Police said neither Alexander nor Jones were equipped to supervise the child because of their altered mental states.
The incident was reported in a high-crime area of Houston, and the boy was in imminent danger, according to court records.
Alexander and Jones were booked into the Harris County jail on $10,000 and $15,000 bonds, respectively.
