European Rubik's Cube Championships, title goes to Germany

PRAGUE, Czech Republic Growing up it was one of the most challenging games for many people, the dreaded Rubik's Cube, but now some people are solving the puzzle in less than 10 seconds.

Some of the most talented Rubik's Cube solvers came together Sunday for the European Rubik's Cube Championship in Prague.

A big audience was on hand as competitors solved various types of puzzles with lightning speed.

Germany's Phillip Weyer took top prize.  He solved the Rubik's Cube in an average time of 7.88 seconds.

His time isn't even the fastest. That belongs to Australian world champion Feliks Zemdegs, a world-record holder, who averaged 7.07 seconds to solve the puzzle.
