Northbound lanes of Beltway 8 at Bellaire Blvd shut down as hazmat crew responds to 18-wheeler fire

HOUSTON – The northbound lanes of Beltway 8, the Sam Houston Tollway, are currently shut down as fire crews respond to a 18-wheeler which caught fire.
The Houston Fire Department said it happened near Bellaire Blvd. Firefighters have responded to the scene to put out the fire.
Houston Transtar cameras show the incident.
The 18-wheeler is reportedly carrying liquid nitrogen and a hazmat team has also responded.
