Charges dropped against man accused of shooting, killing teen in 1995 No description found
HOUSTON – Prosecutors dropped charges Wednesday against a man accused of shooting and killing a teen more than 20 years ago.
Chad Everett Bujano, 37, was arrested in a cold case investigation surrounding the death of Kristin Gaona, 18, in November 1995.
The Houston Police Department arrested Bujano in connection to the teen's murder in 2014.
Prosecutors dismissed the charges against Bujano because they believe the evidence him would not have proven their case.
Neal Davis, Bujano's attorney, said he is happy for his client but also sad for the victim's family. He hopes authorities will find the person responsible.
