Pizza delivery driver found shot, killed in car in southwest Houston

A pizza delivery driver was shot and killed in southwest Houston Thursday.

Police were called at about 11 p.m. when residents said they heard a car horn honking, a crash and then three to four gunshots. Officers arrived to the area in the 5100 block of Court Street and found a silver Honda had hit a tree. Inside the car police found the body of 55-year-old Paul Hillick Jr., who they said had been shot.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Hillick, who delivers pizzas for Dominos, was shot from inside or outside of the car or while he was driving or after he crashed. All of the doors to the car were closed when police arrived.

Investigators are unsure if an attempted robbery was what lead to the shooting but believe there was some type of altercation before Hillick was killed.

No witnesses have come forward and no one has been arrested.

Police are tracing his steps and looking into his last few delivery stops in hopes of finding clues.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Houston police at 713-884-3131.
