Reward offered in hopes of finding suspect who killed southeast Houston mother

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for help in identifying the suspect responsible for killing a mother in southeast Houston last year.

On May 8, 2015, Angela Denise Wafer, 43, was found dead inside her home in the 5600 block of Belneath.

Wafer's 13-year-old son found her lying on the bedroom floor and called for help. Investigators said she was struck in the head with an iron and died from blunt force trauma.

Police said it appears she knew her attacker because there were no signs of forced entry.
