Alleged sexual assault at Conroe ISD high school

OAK RIDGE NORTH, Texas – Conroe Independent School District police are investigating an alleged sexual assault at a district high school.

Oak Ridge High School Principal Tommy Johnson sent a notification to parents after a student reported being sexually assaulted on campus. Johnson said the alleged assault happened earlier this month.

CISD police were on the case immediately, he said. However, Johnson said the department was concerned publicizing the case would jeopardize the investigation, and thus, parents weren't told until recently.

CISD police have arrested an 18-year-old Oak Ridge High School student in connection to the case.

"Be assured that student safety is our top priority," Johnson said. "Please know that we will continue to work diligently to provide a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff."

Anyone with helpful information is asked to call the CISD Police Department at 936-709-8911.
