No description found

HOUSTON – A Comfort Suites hotel in northwest Harris County was evacuated Wednesday morning and one person treated after a fire.

The Klein Fire Department was called the hotel in the 21200 block of Tomball Parkway at about 3:30 a.m. When crews arrived, the third floor of the building was filled with smoke. One of the hotel guests said he was forced to escape a smoke-filled room. The guest said he wrapped his face with a wet towel and made his way down the fire escape. He was treated for smoke inhalation and expected to be OK.

According to investigators, an electrical short in a heating and air conditioning unit in one of the rooms caught fire.

No other injuries were reported.
