HOUSTON – No more tight, toxic-smelling portable restrooms. No more hovering.

The Houston Livestock and Rodeo is installing restroom trailers — or comfort stations — to the high-traffic areas at NRG Park, a representative said.

The comfort stations will have flushable toilets inside private stalls and sinks with running water. It is expected that the trailers will be much cleaner than the standard hot and confining portables, which the organization has used for decades. Bonus: The comfort stations will also be climate-controlled.

Rodeo goers will also find hand soap and upgraded paper towels inside the restrooms. A Houston Rodeo said the comfort stations will be located at Kids Country, the Carnival and the south side of NRG Astrodome.
