Benny, the dog in the picture, is just one of the animals that would benefit. He was rushed to the Houston SPCA on a 24-hour injured animal rescue ambulance when he was found with significant soft-tissue trauma to both front legs. The abrasions and wounds on his legs penetrated to the bone, causing him significant pain. The SPCA veterinary staff has been carefully managing the pain and frequently changing his bandages to make sure he's comfortable and infection-free. Benny will spend some time in a foster home until he is ready for adoption.
Voting for the Chevron Houston Marathon Run for a Reason Charity will be open through January 12. You can vote multiple times.
