MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Authorities came across a multi-million dollar drug bust when they raided a Montgomery County business.

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies served a search warrant Thursday night at a home with a warehouse on the property in the 15300 block of Wisp Willow Way near Springfield. They said the warehouse had been converted into a sophisticated marijuana grow house. More than 100 pounds of bagged and dried marijuana and more than 1,000 plants in various stages of growth were seized.

Authorities also seized a large amount of cash, and numerous pistols, assault rifles and other weapons.

"There is trash bags full of marijuana inside this location," Lt. Phillip Cash, with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, said. "Depending on how long it's been in operation, it's probably a multi-million dollar operation, able to produce plants year-round."

One person was arrested and Cash said more arrests were expected.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable's Office.
