Bud Light smart fridge keeps an eye on your cold ones

HOUSTON – Out of beer? This Bud Light smart fridge is for you.
Anheuser-Busch InBev has unveiled an e-refrigerator that keeps beer drinkers up-to-date on their stash. The WiFi-enabled fridge sends real-time smartphone updates on the status of the beer supply so owners can know when they're running low or when a friend is raiding their fridge.
The Internet-connected device holds up to 78 cold ones and costs $299. For now the fridge is only available in California. Drinkers in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego can replenish their stock without getting up from the couch via the home delivery service Saucey.
The e-fridge has a few other fun features like a theft alarm that can be set to go off when someone opens the door and sensors that can count how many times the door has been opened. Anheuser-Busch will consider making it available nationally next year.
