Sports drinks, trendy beverages not as healthy as advertised

HOUSTON – Trendy sports drinks might not be as healthy as advertised.

According to Consumer Reports, drinks like Gatorade and the different kinds of coconut water are overpriced and loaded with sugar. Researchers said Gatorade has about 36 grams, compared to Pepsi, which has 58 grams.

Other popular beverages, like coconut or maple water, claim to provide better hydration, but there's no proof. And, some cost up to $4 per bottle. Overall, Consumer Reports said plain water is pretty hard to beat for the average workout.

It's been a long time since people have heard "You'll love the way you look. I guarantee it." George Zimmer and Men's Wearhouse parted ways two years ago, but the ousted company founder is back with zTailors. He bills the company as "uber for tailors."

It's an app and a website that allows users to book a tailor, who will show up at their home or office. They'll take measurements and garments, then return them with alterations within a week. zTailors has already signed up 660 tailors across the country, including many in Houston.
