Medical examiner's office rules deaths of twin girls found in bathtub as homicides

PEARLAND, Texas – The deaths of the twin girls who died after being found unresponsive in a tub of water has been ruled as homicides, according to the Harris County Medical Examiner. 

The 15-month-old girls were found around 11:30 a.m. Feb. 17 in the 1400 block of Crystal Lake Circle East.  The girls were immediately airlifted to the hospital, where one of the girls was pronounced dead.

The second twin was placed on life support, but was taken off several days later and died a short time later.

CPS took custody of an older child when the first girl died.  The child was placed temporarily with a family friend.

According to records, the family has a history with CPS.  Investigators visited the home in 2012 in regard to the older child who is now in protective custody.
