Playboy Playmate apologizes for body shaming comments

Dani Mathers took photo of naked woman and posted to Snapchat

A former Playboy Playmate of the Year apologized after poking fun at a naked woman in a gym locker room on social media.

According to ScaryMommy.com, Dani Mathers showed a photo of the unidentified woman with a cruel caption underneath.

"If I can't unsee this, then you can't either," Mathers wrote Wednesday alongside a picture of her seemingly holding back a laugh.

Mathers, who was the 2015 Playmate of the Year, quickly came under intense criticism for unfairly body shaming a woman who had no idea she was being photographed.

After facing angry tweets to her Twitter account, Mathers issued an apology, saying, "I want to acknowledge my post from Snapchat earlier.  There is no excuse... I understand fully the magnitude of this post and that I have hurt a lot of people, women."

She went on to say that body shaming is not okay and that she never should have posted the photo or comment.

Mathers has since deleted her Twitter account.
