Here’s the runoff election “by the numbers” breakdown:

  • More than 145,000 early voting ballots were cast ahead of Election Day in Harris County.
  • More than 88,000 Republican voters cast ballots during early voting.
  • More than 57,000 Democratic voters voted early.

There is only one location where voters can directly return a completed mail-in ballot on Election Day: 1019 Congress in downtown Houston.

Voters can also take their mail-in ballot to any county vote center, surrender it, and then vote in person instead.

This marks the eighth election held in the last eight months in Harris County, highlighting what election officials say has been an unusually busy voting cycle.

There are more than 160 vote centers available across Harris County for Election Day voting. Voters can cast a ballot at any countywide vote center.

There are two key runoff voting rules voters should know:

  • You can still vote in the runoff election even if you did not vote in the March 3 primary.
  • If you did vote in the March 3 primary, Texas law requires you to vote in the same party’s runoff election.

Election officials say voters can find polling locations, wait times, sample ballots and more through HarrisVotes.com.
