Kandi Burruss brings one-woman show “I Do, I Did, I’m Done,” to Houston

Catch her on stage this Sunday, Aug. 23, at Houston of Blues Houston

HOUSTON – For one night only, Kandi Burruss is bringing her story to the Houston stage — and audiences will get a chance to experience it for themselves.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, former member of Xscape and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is bringing her one-woman show, “I Do, I Did, I’m Done,” to House of Blues Houston on Sunday, Aug. 23.

Burruss has built an impressive career both in front of and behind the microphone. As a songwriter, she co-wrote some of R&B’s biggest hits, including TLC’s “No Scrubs” and Destiny’s Child’s “Bills, Bills, Bills.”

Now, she’s turning the spotlight toward her own life.

“I Do, I Did, I’m Done,” combines personal storytelling, music, never-before-seen footage and audience participation. The show gives fans a closer look at the experiences, relationships and life lessons that have shaped Burruss — while inviting the audience to become part of the experience.

Burruss chatted with “Houston Life” Lauren Kelly about her musical journey and life after reality TV.
