HOUSTON – When East Houston Regional Medical Center closed its doors in 2017, it left a major gap in healthcare for families across East Harris County. Rather than watch the community go without a local hospital, East Houston Medical Center was established to bring healthcare back home. Today, the family-owned hospital continues that mission by providing personalized care close to where its patients live and work.
Next week, the medical center shows its appreciation to the community in a big way.
East Houston Medical Center is hosting three free FIFA World Cup 2026 watch parties at Galena Park ISD Stadium.
Whether you’re a lifelong soccer fan or just looking for a fun day out with family and friends, everyone is invited. Guests can watch the semifinal matches and the championship game on the stadium’s giant screen while enjoying food, family-friendly activities, cooling zones and complimentary parking.
The free watch parties are scheduled for July 14, July 15 and July 19.

There’s even a little something extra to kick off the celebration. Guests who register in person at East Houston Medical Center, located at 15149 Wallisville Rd. in Houston, will receive a free soccer ball while supplies last.
And the excitement doesn’t stop there.
One lucky attendee will win a trip for two to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Final, including two tickets, round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations. The winner will be announced during the July 15 watch party and they must be present to win.
