HOUSTON – ‘Real Women Have Curves’ is now onstage at the Alley Theatre, and it’s a joyful, honest story about Latina women navigating body image, family expectations, work, and identity.
The show celebrates bodies, voices and cultural pressures, but ultimately reminds us of the beauty in embracing exactly who you are.
The production is set inside a garment factory where conversations are honest and laughter comes easy. While the setting is specific, the themes are universal—generational expectations, cultural pressure, and the journey toward self-acceptance. It’s a celebration of bodies and voices too often pushed aside, and a meaningful moment for inclusive storytelling on one of the country’s leading stages.
Performances run through February 15th, and tickets are available at alleytheatre.org/realwomen.
