HOUSTON – Joy the Baker, or Joy Wilson, is back with a tangy holiday treat to brighten up your Christmas morning.
Last time she popped into the studio, she chatted about her first children’s book and the new Bakehouse she was renovating. If you missed that chat, click on the link for a recap.
Now, The Bakehouse Texas is freshly up and baking — and she’s bringing a special recipe to share with the “Houston Life” audience. Scroll down for the recipe.
Her Bakehouse in Bellville softly opened on Nov. 22 and will run as a monthly pop-up on the first Saturdays with seasonal batches beginning in 2026. But, if you like to try some now, Wilson is officially inviting the community to her opening on Dec. 20.
The Bakehouse is about 45 minutes west of Houston (90 minutes southeast of Austin). For more info (and to reserve a box), hop over to joythebaker.com and follow @joythebaker and @thebakehousetexas.
And because no holiday morning is complete without something warm from the oven, Wilson is sharing her festive Christmas Morning Orange Rolls — available as a “take & bake” pick up option at The Bakehouse in December.
