“Love is Blind” star Chis Fox brings a fresh supply of vintage swag to Houston each week

HOUSTON – People line up down Richmond Avenue in Houston’s Galleria area to treasure hunt premium vintage swag at VNTG SPLY.

“Every week we get new inventory,” explained co-owner, Chris Fox. If Fox looks familiar that is because he is one of the stars from Season 5 of “Love is Blind.”

Taking Houston Life’s Melanie Camp on a tour of the store, Fox shared tips on getting the best deals on premium vintage clothes.

VNTG SPLY has a novel set up. Clothes are categorized into several giant blue bins. Shoppers sort through swaths of t-shirts, men’s jeans, women’s jeans, jackets, and dresses and load their finds into the giant bags provided in the store. The idea at VNTG SPLY is you pay by the pound and at checkout you will find a large scale where you weigh your items. The scale also calculates the price.

While you can simply purchase one item, Fox encourages people to fill their bag!

VNTG SPLY clears out their bins each Wednesday, opens Fridays with all new swag and stays open through Tuesdays. Clothes are sold at $10 a pound from Friday to Sunday. $5 per pound on Mondays. Then prices drop to $3 a pound on Tuesdays. The store is open Friday-Tuesday at 5524 Richmond Ave., Houston.
