Local sisters committed to service

Kelsey and Cambel’s Kids Care support book drives, women’s shelters and more

HOUSTON – Giving back is more than just a hobby for Kelsey and Cambel Cadien.

It’s a way of life.

The sisters started a foundation called Kelsey and Cambel’s Kids Care.

It’s just been a part of us, it’s just been a part of our daily lives, since we were very young,” said Kelsey Cadien, co-founder of Kelsey and Cambel’s Kids Care.

They recently participated in a nationwide book drive in Cypress.

Kelsey and Campel talked about the importance of volunteering and what it means for them to lend a helping hand on “Houston Life.”

“We incorporate the things we want to do in (our) daily life, into how we volunteer in the community, so I bring my friends out and do things that we want to do with the community, like we had a sports day at the Mission of Yahweh last March, and we had a lot of athletes from our school come out and help kids out there,” said Cambel Cadien, co-founder of Kelsey and Cambel’s Kids Care.
