Houston tween is the star of Nickelodeon’s ‘That Girl Lay Lay’

HOUSTON – Nickelodeon’s ‘That Girl Lay Lay’ is the hugely successful live-action-comedy series that has turned Houston rapper and social media influencer Alaya High into tween superstardom!

Lay Lay is in town for a very special event, and she joined Houston Life to chat about her meteoric rise to success and her upcoming appearance tomorrow at The Black Hair Experience Pop-Up Block Party in Houston.

“That Girl Lay Lay” follows Lay Lay, a virtual hype avatar who magically comes to life after Sadie wishes on a star. Now in its second season, these two best friends continue to go on exciting adventures, working to fulfill Lay Lay’s desire to experience everything that comes with being a real teenager.

Lay Lay has been writing, producing, rapping, and singing since the age of five, and at age 11 became the youngest female rapper to sign a recording deal and create her own imprint, Fresh Rebel Muzik/EMPIRE.

She and co-star Gabrielle Nevaeh Green will appear at a hair-centric pop-up block party tomorrow at 560 Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77077 suite B-132.
