Juneteenth Historian Sam Collins joins Courtney and Derrick to share the history of Juneteenth in Galveston

Galveston Island – When Major General Gordon Granger and more than two thousand Federal soldiers arrived in Galveston on June 19, 1865, to announce freedom for those who had been enslaved, for many it was just the beginning as they were left to navigate new lives as free people.
