HOUSTON – Did you know that with just $25 you can provide 75 meals for the hungry? The 15th Annual Empty Bowls Houston event makes it possible by providing more than 1,500 hand-crafted bowls for sale. Heather Icenogle with the Houston Food Bank, explains.
All of the bowls at the event are handmade by local artists, whether they're ceramic, wood, glass, you know whatever medium it might be, they're all from local Houston artists. Even the donations at the event, the demos at the event, even the music provided at the event, is local Houston," said Icebogle.
100% of the proceeds from the sale of those bowls goes directly to the Houston Food Bank.
