Cornbread Chili Casserole

HOUSTON – In this week’s Cooking Time with H-E-B, Chef John shares the recipe for a casserole that’s perfect for a causal gathering, tailgating, watching the game at home, and a fast family meal.

Cornbread Chili Bake

Preparation time:10 minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

1    Package Cornbread of Choice (Eggs, Milk, Oil as directed)

½   Cup Byers Candied Jalapenos

1    lb Ground Beef    

1    Jar C&C Two Step Spicy or Regular Chili

1    Cup Shredded Cheese

Cook Ground Beef and mix with Two Step Chili, when finished place in a 9x13 baking dish.

Mix Cornbread as Directed but add the cheese and the Jalapenos. When batter is thick and ready spoon over the top of the Chili evenly so that it covers the entire top of the Chili.

Bake for 22-25 minutes at 400 degrees.
