Emmy Award-winning Producer Heather Kansteiner loves all things Houston and enjoys exploring the city and sharing it with others.
Her passion for storytelling led her to a career in television. She is a graduate of Sam Houston State University, where she earned a degree in broadcast journalism. During her time at SHSU, she interned with legendary journalist Dan Rather in New York City.

Heather started her career in a Houston newsroom as a Production Assistant, learning all she could about what it takes to get a newscast on the air. She then put that experience into practice as a news producer in Waco, TX. She finally made her way back to Houston to work for a local talk show.
As a producer, Heather created fun and engaging content for the show. From astronauts to chefs, professional athletes, reality stars and even fashion designers, Heather has worked with some of Houston’s best.
Now, she's getting a chance to highlight Houston in a new way as a producer for Houston Life. She’s looking forward to sharing what makes Houston a great place to live, work and play.
