Chuy’s locations will be serving up tacos and drink specials all day. Add a Ground Beef Taco (crispy or soft!) to any entrée for just $1. It is also offering $1 Tequila Floaters to top your favorite margarita with an extra pour of tequila. Dress like a taco on National Taco Day, post a photo with #ChuysTacoDay and head to your nearest Chuy’s for a free, dine-in entrée of your choice.
After opening its doors earlier this summer, El Venado, a vibrant cantina, offers a variety of tequilas, mezcals and craft cocktails along with street-style tacos, nachos and more. For National Taco Day, El Venado will be offering half-off an order of tacos, making it just $7 for three tacos. With a choice of 10 proteins (including two vegan options), these tacos are served with house-made tortillas, chopped lettuce, queso fresco, Mexican crema, red radish, limes and house salsa. On National Taco Day select tacos will be $1.50. The promotion excludes fajita, shrimp, or Mahi, including California Heat, Citrus Heat Mahi, and Queso Shrimpico. Online ordering, where available, will be limited to a 10-taco maximum; quantity limits may apply for dine-in and takeout orders. Not valid on third-party delivery orders or with any other discounts.
A hundred Fuzzy’s fans will be randomly selected to win free tacos for a year in celebration of National Taco Day. Every National Taco Day order placed through the Fuzzy’s Taco Shop Rewards app or receipt scanned into the app will be automatically entered into a random drawing for free tacos for a year. Monkey’s Tail is a fabulous Houston bar that combines Tejano bar vibes with the selection of a craft cocktail spot. Enjoy the large, dog-friendly patio with picnic tables, umbrellas all decked out with TVs and fans as you enjoy specialty cocktails, craft beer, wine and more.
Monkey’s Tail serves a full menu along with Daily Specials. Their popular Crispy Tacos have quickly risen in popularity, and while they’re normally served on Thursdays, they’ll be offering a loaded version on National Taco Day called the Double Decker Taco. For just $4/piece these housemade masa corn tortillas are fried, wrapped in a flour tortilla, then wrapped in cheddar jack cheese filled with spiced ground beef, sour cream, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and a certain fast-food-inspired hot sauce. Those that prefer soft tacos, can enjoy the Taco de Chicken Fajita or Pastor [$4] or the Taco de Barbacoa or Beef Fajita [$5], which are on the permanent menu. In celebration of National Vodka Day, which is the same day, Monkey’s Tail will also be offering the Baja frozen (Mountain Dew, blue Powerade, lime, and vodka) for $6 for Happy Hour (4 - 7 p.m.) and $9 regular price (small only). As one of Houston’s most iconic and oldest Mexican restaurants, Spanish Village, knows exactly what they’re doing when it comes to tacos. Spanish Village will be serving up their mouthwatering Birria Tacos for just $7.99 (normally $13.95). One order contains three tacos made with shredded beef on corn tortillas, jack cheese, cilantro, onions and consommé. Spanish Village is located at 4720 Almeda Road, Suite A, Houston, TX 77004.
