Arby's dials up vegetarian help hotline
HOUSTON – Arby's knows how tempting bacon can be for vegetarians, so the chain is doing something about it.
The fast food chain has launched a vegetarian support hotline. When callers dial 1-855-MEAT-HLP, they'll receive a reassuring message to stay strong that quickly descends into an advertisement for the company's new brown sugar bacon dishes.
Throughout the call, there are prompts asking repeatedly if the caller caved in and ate bacon, then advicses the caller to take a deep breath and make a salad. Callers can also leave a message for Arby's, but it's unclear whether those messages are saved.
