Hyundai, Mitsubishi recalling thousands of vehicles

Certain Hyundai and Mitsubishi models need to go into the shop for an issue that can lead to a crash.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a recall for the 2013 Hyundai Elantra because the brake pedal stopper pad can deteriorate, which could cause the brake light to stay on without applying the pedal. More than 64,500 cars are affected by the recall.

Mitsubishi is recalling 2015-2016 models of the Outlander Sport and 2016 models of the Outlander and the Lancer. The vehicles have a constant velocity transmission that can delay acceleration in certain driving conditions. More than 82,000 vehicles are included in the recall.
