Terminix fined $10 million for using banned pesticide

Terminix will pay a $10 million fine for using a toxic pesticide at a home in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The pest extermination company used an illegal pesticide, which sent a family to the hospital after they became seriously ill and suffered seizures. The company admitted that it failed to properly manage its pest control operations.

In other business news, the popular smartphone app Waze wants to help drivers avoid a speeding ticket. It’s launching a new service that will alert drivers when they’re going over the speed limit. It’s already available in Europe and Latin America, and will soon come to the U.S.
