Gillette sues Dollar Shave Club over copyright infringement and other business news

Gillette is suing the Dollar Shave Club for copyright infringement.

Gillette claims that its competitor is infringing on patented technology, including a blade coating used on products such as the Mach3, Venus and Fusion razors. Gillette said it owns all rights, titles and interest in the patent.

A spokeswoman for Dollar Shave Club said the company is looking into the lawsuit, but has no comment.

In other business news, PayPal is increasing its parental leave time. The company will offer expectant mothers and fathers eight weeks of paid leave. Mothers are eligible to take another eight weeks of paid “bonding leave,” which can be taken all at once or in increments.

PayPal is the latest Silicon Valley firm to beef up its parental leave time in an effort to attract and retain employees.
