HOUSTON - A close call for a family in northeast Houston after a fire gutted their garage.

The fire broke out around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday morning at the home on Cedar Village Drive and Hickory Falls Drive.

When crews arrived, the garage was fully involved.  They managed to put the fire out before it spread to the home which is connected by a breezeway.

Firefighters said an electrical issue may have started the fire.

Arson investigators were called in to make the final determination.

No one was hurt.
