HOUSTON – A motorcyclist died in the hospital Wednesday after he collided with an SUV the night before in the Uptown area.

The SUV was making a left turn and the motorcycle slammed into the back door of the driver's side of the Escape. The driver told police he did not see the motorcyclist going around him.

The motorcycle rider was taken to Ben Taub hospital, where he died.

No one inside the SUV was hurt.

No charges will be filed and an investigation is underway, police said.
